The insurtech that meets you where you are.

Let's talk about digital transformation.

For more than a decade, financial and professional lines insurers have been striving to modernize the underwriting workflow.

The goals are easy. Harness technology to make better, faster underwriting decisions. Make the process more producer/client friendly, and if at all possible, lower operating expenses. If these three goals are achievable, the business reaches a new level.

Like most transformations, the concepts are easy, but real world execution is hard. Let's be honest, there haven't been any platforms or portals that have gained widescale adoption in digitizing. The traditional email-based workflows still dominate insurance.

And that's why we built appcenter. It's a completely new approach, brought to you by a team of insurance professionals who understand the business, the process, and the appropriate role of tech.

Who we are.

We know your challenges and aspirations because we've walked in your shoes. Our leadership/advisory team is comprised of a group of individuals with over a century of combined underwriting, product development, system administration, claim, and compliance experience. All of which is in financial and professional lines.

We see our experience as an advantage, not a detriment. We know how it feels to be subjugated by retrofitting services built for traditional commercial lines and we're more than happy to build products and services where your needs come first.

We know our role.

The Underwriting Company isn't trying to solve every operational problem for specialty insurance. We aren't trying to automate every facet of insurance. We aren't building an online marketplace, and we have no desire to remove human underwriters from the process.

We're trying to take the manual steps that can be improved through technology and improve them to assist the natural human interactions when placing insurance. Our services are simple to use, simple to deploy, and don't seek to interrupt the time-tested methods already in place.

We aren't building a service company that expects its users to commit to lengthy IT deployments or costly implementations.

We think we can help and we just want to meet you where you are.
